The Franklin Method ® is an evidence-based approach to movement education that enhances the body’s function and well-being. Using mental imagery, it promotes healthy physical function, strength, mobility, and coordination. Through this method, you’ll learn to connect with your body, sense its movements, and enjoy pain-free, functional motion.

    The Franklin Method® uses Dynamic Neuro-cognitive Imagery™, anatomical embodiment and educational skills to create lasting positive change in your body and mind. The Franklin Method was founded by Eric Franklin in 1994 and is taught all over the world, including the Universities of Vienna, Cologne, Karlsruhe and the Juilliard School in New York.

    The Franklin Method® is recognized by the health providers in Switzerland and is a regularly seen at Dance, Pilates, Yoga and Physiotherapy conferences. Description:

Many of us experience sacral or lower back pain that impacts daily life, movement, and even our Pilates practice. In this Rebalance your SI Joint -Franklin Method® inspired workshop, you’ll discover how the sacrum is designed to move and how its natural rhythms influence the health of your lower back and pelvis.

Through guided imagery, movement, and simple practical exercises, you’ll learn how to release tension, restore balance, and strengthen the stabilizing muscles that support this vital area. You’ll also gain effective cues and strategies to bring into your teaching or personal practice, helping yourself and others move with greater ease and confidence.

Objectives

In this session you will learn to:

· Embody the sacrum’s position and experience how it moves naturally in your body.

· Understand the functions of the sacrum and its relationship to the pelvis and lower back.

· Learn cues and imagery to improve biomechanics in Pilates and everyday movement.

· Explore exercises that release tension in the lower back and pelvis, as well as strengthening practices that help balance and stabilize the SI joint.
